Heather Bussing is an employment attorney, HR Tech analyst, writer and editor. Spending her time exploring the intersection of people, technology and work, Heather regularly advises employers on the HR policies and workforce issues, in addition to teaching legal writing and internet law. She’s appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Mashable, Business Insider, and NPR discussing employment issues and tech.
John NurthenStaffing Industry Analysts
John Nurthen manages the team that delivers SIAs international research content across the entire workforce solutions ecosystem, including the gig economy and job boards.
He has almost 30 years’ experience in the staffing industry, having previously worked in senior managerial roles for three of the world’s largest staffing firms. He has played an active role in major equity offerings and mergers, and held responsibility for internal and external communications, e-Business, technology matters, marketing and CSR. He played a leading role in the development of common data standards with the creation of HR-XML SIDES and was responsible for creating the first global procurement contracts with a number of the world’s largest job boards.
Katie MehnertPink Petro
The modern architect of culture change in energy, Katie Mehnert is the Founder and CEO of Pink Petro™, the global community and career resource aimed at disrupting the gender gap in energy. And in 2017, she launched Experience Energy℠ the only global careers platform aimed at delivering the energy transition.
Katie has held global leadership roles with BP and Shell in safety and environment during periods of financial crisis, spills, divestment and globalization. Katie’s early career included consulting with Duke Energy, Entergy and Enron. Her corporate path drove her to entrepreneurship to help energy companies prepare for the looming talent shortage and workforce diversity needs to address energy poverty and climate change.
In 2019, she testified before Congress on the clean energy workforce of the future. She's published in Scientific American, Forbes, The Hill, CNBC, CNN, and other international outlets. She is also the founder of Lean In Energy, a global nonprofit solely devoted to mentoring in the energy sector.
Katie is a four-time World Major marathoner having completed London, Chicago, New York and Berlin. Her husband is an associate general counsel with Baker Hughes. They live with their 8-year-old daughter in Houston’s Energy Corridor. Her book on overcoming fear and progressing with purpose, 'Grow with the Flow,' will release in 2020.

Rob is a member of the Society of Kauffman Fellows, a selective leadership-training program organized by the Kauffman Foundation. He has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College.

In her role as Senior Consultant, Julie leads implementation of programs and solutions with Disability Solutions’ clients. She supports the build and deployment of strategic solutions by first assessing current outreach, hiring, and retention systems, policies, and processes, which impact a company’s ability to successfully engage and retain qualified jobseekers with disabilities.
Julie and her team work with numerous Fortune 1000 brands including PepsiCo, Synchrony Financial, Medidata, DB Schenker through P&G, American Express, Aon, and Aramark and many others.
Julie is also the co-host of the podcast Crazy and the King with Torin Ellis. Julie and Torin tackle diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace and our world.
Julie regularly speaks at state and national conferences and provides training on compliance and disability inclusion to a variety of audiences. Julie has her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Indiana University. She lives in Columbus, Indiana with her husband, three children, and their dogs.
Julie is also a person with a disability. She is actively managing multiple mental health disabilities.
Chief Executive Officer - College Recruiter
Faith's career has always been at the intersection between business and technology. She started as a programmer for Ford Motor Company, graduated from the University of Michigan with an MBA, was a manufacturing information technology consultant with KPMG, served as a project manager for Wells Fargo, and then staged a bloodless coup after joining the business her husband founded, College Recruiter.
Faith's passion for helping young adults find great careers is evident in everything that College Recruiter does. As its integrator, Faith is the hub around which the organization revolves.
Jonathan is the Managing Director of Talent Tech Labs. He is a lawyer by education, and an entrepreneur and investor by trade.
